Oil palm Empty Fruit Bunch (EFB)

Empty Fruit Bunch (EFB) is originally in raw form and is further processed into shredded form. Shredding process slices EFB into smaller and loose structure, which improves the volume-weight ratio.  The purpose of this additional process is to boost the bio-fuel characteristic. Subsequently, it needs to be further dried up for transportation purpose and make it even more suitable candidate as biodiesel in biomass plant. Owing to its low chlorine content, shredded EFB fiber is a safe and sustainable bio-fuel resource to replace petroleum and coal to produce bio-fuel briquette. It can be solid fuel for steam boiler. By replacing the conventional fossil fuel with shredded EFB fiber, biomass boiler companies can save their expenditure.
